High quality picnic baskets, beautiful hand made picnic or snuggle blankets, and food hampers filled with artisan Cotswold delights - ethically sourced, delivered to you

Welcome to Cotswold Edge Hampers. We are a small family business near Wotton-under-Edge in the Cotswolds and we want to bring luxury to your doorstep; real luxury, that doesn't compromise our ethical stance.

We created our business for two important reasons.  Firstly, from the frustrations and misery of the current pandemic, we wanted to put a smile on people's faces as they open up one of our beautifully stocked hampers filled with artisan goodies.

Secondly, we wanted to work with and support suppliers who have similar values - we strive to be an ethical and responsible business and are building long-term partnerships with our producers, all of whom have a similar ethos to ours; luxury and artisan products made using good quality and local products that they’re proud of, ethical sourcing, supporting everyone in the supply chain fairly, and caring for the environment.  Even down to using carbon-neutral couriers where possible, and bio-degradable filler packaging (wood wool that can be re-used as fuel for barbeques or mulch for the garden).

We’re not claiming to be completely Green, but we’re working hard at it.  We care about what goes into our food and drink and where it comes from.  Wherever we can, we buy food closest to the source of production which means farmers, growers and makers keep more of the money from the sale of their goods. We know the names of the farms growing their wonderful coffee beans, for example, and how much the farmers earn.....we're into provenance and accountability.

All our picnic baskets, hampers and blankets are handmade by artisans using durable and sustainable materials.  The wicker is sourced from partners who are Sedex* members which helps ensure year-round guaranteed employment for workers, safe and hygienic working conditions and rates of pay that are higher than the national industry average for the craft.  Regular inspections are carried out by independent ethical auditors whose reports are publicly available.

All the willow used is coppiced from fast-growing regenerating crops that are cultivated solely for this purpose, sustaining traditional farming methods without the use of chemical application.
